New Ideas.

I think I'm going to try something new.  So I've been maintaining both this blog and my other "domestic adventures blog", but the fact of the matter is I haven't been "maintaining" or updating or anything.  I need something a little new and something to get me thinking creative again.  I've decided to combine my domestic adventures, my baking, my photography, and whatever wacky things I come up with right here.

In case you missed it on my other blog, this is why I've been so neglectful:

Meet Baby M!  He/She will be here in July.  We find out soon if Baby M is a he or a she so we will be sharing with you soon!

Some things I've learned so far:
1) If you are tired....rest...or you will be extra tired for 3 days after that
2) Yea some heartburn happens but if it's bad enough you can't lie down you are probably eating/drinking something that isn't getting past your stomach!  No more grape cranberry juice for me I guess (but boy do I feel better!)
3) How blessed we are to not have any nosey or pushy friends are family.  Everyone has been really nice!

I took a couple of photos today to celebrate Valentines (and one to submit to The Pioneer Woman's "Love" photo contest) Here they are---

And here are just a few shots from our crazy weather we had!  We got so much ice and snow in Texas in the past couple of weeks it was crazy---

We sure were happy when it started melting (after being stuck in the house for a week----we don't drive on ice here!)

Stay tuned...I promise to be better about updating and posting.  Tomorrow may be some cooking/baking photos!

Congratulations on the baby Lauren. That is great news. And what is the deal with the snow and ice? I thought you lived in Texas.

Thanks Sean!!! I know isn't it crazy? We got an outrageous amount of ice and snow! Honestly, I lived in Texas for over 20 years before I moved to California...I don't ever remember snows like the ones we've gotten every year since we moved back in 2007! We are going to enjoy a week of 70s this week---can't wait!
Awe, congratulations (WAY late)!! SO exciting!

2021 Has been the best year to get my camera out.  I'm going to work on being better about sharing here.  These are just a few of this year's photos!

Fall is Coming Quickly

We've had a warm (but not miserable) Summer this year.  It's also been drought-like and dry!  Yesterday, we played outside early so that we could beat the rain.  I'm glad we did!  It rained from 9 a.m. until bedtime.  Matilda rocked school and was doing things until 2 p.m.  Then we put up a tent in the living room and watched Hocus Pocus.  We definitely are in our Fall moods now. The hummingbird migration is in full swing.  We had so many buzzing all over the yard during the rain yesterday.  I have new food made and ready to go now! Typically at this time of the year, I offer Halloween photography cards.  It's been the weirdest year!  Is there any interest in keeping the postal service alive?  Let me know if anyone would like a pack of pumpkin cards.  I love printing and packaging these up.  I will offer these for the entire month of September.  Just send me a message! Is anyone else starting Fall decorating?  Today may have to be my attic day!  I want to see how you
